Welcome

Website under slow construction!

We study the mechanisms that promote—or constrain—local adaptation. By integrating genomics with ecological and natural history approaches, we explore the mode and tempo of evolution in natural populations. Since September 2024, our group has been based at Uppsala University.

Some of the questions that motivate us are: How do organisms adapt to their local environments? How quickly can they do so? Is biodiversity able to keep pace with anthropogenic change and how? Our current study systems include Euphydryas editha butterflies in North America and insect biocontrol agents in the South Pacific.
